Taking advantage of an unused tradesman's alley, this complete renovation of an 1885 Victorian reinvents the spatial composition of the house by reorienting the entry. A transparent entry hall connecting the entry to the lush garden beyond, and a finely detailed mahogany window wall transform this introverted home into a light-filled composition which blurs the interior and exterior beyond, creating a spatial extension into a landscape that obscures its tight urban context.
