 This project brings a modern spatial feel to a standard SF zero-lot-line home through the insertion of a series of minimal space defining elements. The central core is formed by a carefully-detailed, sculptural figured anegre kitchen. The placement and form of this single gesture, combined with a planar fireplace expression defines all of the primary living spaces. Hydronic heat, FSC rated woods, fly-ash concrete, extensive day-lighting, and solar electric systems fulfill the the environmentally responsible mandate of this home. |
