 On a steeply up-sloping urban lot, this major renovation of a poorly built Victorian creates an open plan, carefully delineating spaces through the use of sculptural architectural mass. An existing stair is reinvented as the primary spatial divider, while the odd massing of the existing house is used to advantage through the integration of skylights bringing light into the formerly dark living level. |
